I thnk aspiring filmmakers as well as active filmmakers need to scrutinize such things.

The average Joe sees these things as fun. Just entertainment. Just like watching films. They aren't so interested in the hows and whys of filmmaking. They just seek entertainment.

This forum is not just an entertainment film site. It's for filmmakers. Not casual filmgoers

What's the point of celebrating these heroes and villains?... It's ridiculous. </font></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></BLOCKQUOTE>

    Hhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Yes, this thread might be seen as inappropriate for this forum... But that doesn't make the celebration of goodies 'n' baddies ridiculous even if you don?t agree with the final listing?

Agreed, I would make changes - polls by their very nature polarize opinion ? but there is an intrinsic value in the discussion born of such said activities. That is surely a good thing?

A conflicting opinion is the most valued tool of an artist? But there is nothing wrong in this process: There is nothing ridiculous in the celebration of good and evil. You don't have to "buy into AFI's 100 anything" to understand that.

    Chin chin.
